Reunion of SKS And Bodhicariya School Alumni a grand success

BODHICARIYA EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX, Nov 16^th, 2009: The Reunion of SKS and Bodhicariya School Alumni, organised in the premises of the Bodhicariya Educational Complex on 15^th and 16^th of November, 2009 was a grand success. The event coinciding with the 20^th Foundation Day of Bodhicariya School, saw Alumni coming from all parts of the country.

The two day event also saw teachers and staff, both former and present participating in large numbers. The teachers were felicitated with a gift package and a citation as a token of their students' love and respect. The teachers and staff appreciated the efforts of the Alumni, who had successfully pulled off their first event at such a short notice.

Former and present teachers, who were present at the reunion recounted old days, and were delighted to reunite with their students. They expressed happiness that their students were eager to renew and strenghten their old ties with the school, the teachers and the staff.

Ven. Bimal Bhikkhu, the founder of Shishu Koruna Sangha also congratulated the Alumni, who have contributed to the event through finances, time and effort for successfully organising the first grand reunion. He was very pleased that the Alumni whom he had known since their childhood had since "grown up". The Alumni also formed an organisation "SKS And Bodhicariya Alumni Association (SABAA)" with the general objective of supporting, augmenting and furthering the activities of SKS & Bodhicariya.

Ven. Bimal Bhikkhu and the teachers and staff also conveyed their best wishes to the Alumni for their endeavours and to the newly formed SABAA.

SKS And Bodhicariya Alumni Association formed
